GUTTENBERG GOES BERSERK?

---AP Wire Sources
Actor Steve Guttenberg, who rose to superstardom while turning Chopping Block's serial killer "Butch" into a pop icon, has apparently followed the script from one of his own movies. Details are still sketchy, but it seems that Guttenberg may have gone on a murderous rampage. His alleged killing spree is reported to have claimed at least two dozen innocent lives thus far. Sources have reported that Guttenberg, while performing the alleged acts of murder, said only, "Look at my face!" and "I'm talking! Can you hear me talking?!"

Guttenberg's feud with the producers of the films was well-publicized, and led to his walking away from the role. It is not known whether the success of the two most recent Chopping Block films, starring Jack Nicholson as the character which Guttenberg made famous, is a factor in the apparent killings. The most recent installment in the CB franchise, titled "Butch & Me", has Nicholson portraying both sides of the killer's personality as two separate individuals. Filled with passionate internal monologue and keen insight into the character's psyche, it has garnered substantial critical acclaim and is expected to result in a second consecutive Best Actor nomination for Nicholson.

Guttenberg, meanwhile, as allegedly been apprehended by LA County Police and is reportedly being held pending further investigation. It is rumored that he has retained star attorney Johnny Cochran to lead his defense team. All details, however, are unconfirmed.
